Sun Rash
One of the things people often overlook is the thought of sun rashes. We are always thinking about things like sunburn, but often times people react to the sun in different ways. Some people end up with sun rashes, and whether it’s due to sensitive skin like a babies, or due to a reaction to medication – a sun rash is something that can be quite uncomfortable.
While sun rashes are only uncomfortable to look at, others can be quite itchy and uncomfortable. By choosing sun safe clothing and covering your baby’s precious skin with things like a hat which offers shade to your baby’s face – you’re making sure you’re sweet son or daughter is fully protected.
Having had a sun rash myself, I can tell you it was quite an experience. I was on a medication I don’t normally take – and on vacation. Not a fun combination, and it ended up in giving me a total body rash when my skin reacted to the sun – with the medication. Head to toe…I was spotted, itchy and miserable. A little shade would have gone a long way into keeping me more comfortable. Lesson learned!
